Jai Opetaia against Claudio Squeo on June 8 in Australia

IBF World cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (27-0, 21 KOs) will defend his title on June 8 in Queensland, Australia. He will face Italy’s Claudio Squeo (17-0, 9 KOs).

Opetaia was supposed to fight Squeo on May 13, but the fight was postponed for few weeks because of minor injury that Australian suffered in training camp.

Opetaia’s aim is to face Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs), the WBO and WBA World cruiserweight champion, in a unification bout.

Ramirez will defend his titles against Yuniel Dorticos (27-2) on June 28.
