Ukraine, Italy, Hungary, Latvia and Denmark all have strong U15 gold medallists in Eger

The U15 boys have been crowned at the fourth competition day at the 74th edition of the traditional Bornemissza Memorial Tournament in Eger, Hungary.

Latvia’s Silvestrs Vasilevskis defeated a neighbouring rival for the title of the 44kg, Estonia’s Martin Uletjonok. His teammate, Luka Bondarenko had a harder job against Hungary’s Martin Homai but he had the technical skills to beat his opponent at the 48kg final.

Italy’s U15 No.1, Valentino Risoluti was unstoppable at theBornemissza Memorial Tournament but Ukraine’s Maksym Viniar, Oleksiy Bobruiko, and Serhii Kotovskyi all succeeded in their finals with great performance.

Denmark’s strong Milo Thorslund has strong family traditions to boxing and the Nordic boxer became a gold medallist in Eger where he stopped Czech Republic’s Tadeas Jasek to take the 63kg title.

Denmark’s Eren Buldak had a technician opponent, France’s Noa Sanchez at the U17 age group but he was able to use his own rhythm which means that he will now meet for the title of the 48kg, Ukraine’s Rostyslav Hrytsevych.

Romania’s Calugar Madalin (46kg), Italy’s Alessandro Facioni (60kg), Hungary’s Istvan Czifra (63kg), and France’s Yanis Tavares (70kg) all eliminated strong opponents in their U17 male semi-finals on Day4.

Netherlands’ 16-year-old Sam Arndell put himself into the spotlight in this Bornemissza Memorial Tournament and he won his bout against Italy’s Samuele Miceli and he will have a local final opponent, Alex Domjan.

Among the U19 boys, Denmark’s Reda Al-Tarmimi (50kg), Italy’s Tommaso Orlando (50kg), Hungary’s Andras Horvath (60kg), Slovakia’s Sebastian Chocholacek (65kg), Sweden’s Maxi Nygard (70kg), Norway’s Stefan Ogorelica (70kg), Austria’s Ihor Neofidi (80kg) and Poland’s Krzysztof Zakrzewski (+90kg) proved the best semi-final performances.
