Big battles and emotional moments at the quarter-finals of the Eindhoven Box Cup

The outstanding Eindhoven Box Cup delivered excellent battles in the quarter-final stage of the competition and the winners are now guaranteed medallists.

Mongolia’s Enkhjargal Munguntsetseg was bronze medallist at the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championships and she was an Olympian boxer also in Paris. The Mongolian had a difficult first round against Hungary’s 20-year-old Laura Horvath but after that she switched into a higher tempo to win their meeting.

Kazakhstan’s Asian Elite silver medallist Daniyal Sabit moved back to the 50kg weight class and he used his extraordinary speed to eliminate Ukraine’s Maksym Rudyk in the second day of boxing.

Rasul Tisayev was a surprise at the 2022 Youth World Championships but this year, he already won the title of the Brussels Capital Tournament a few weeks ago. The Belgian youngster returned to a big event and he controlled his next bout well enough to beat Hungary’s Robert Csiki.

Uzbekistan’s Abdumalik Khalokov won all of the big titles during his career including the Olympic gold in Paris. The Uzbek superstar had a teenage opponent from Azerbaijan, Mahammadali Gasimzade and he had to do his very best to eliminate the young hope in Eindhoven.

Uzbekistan’s Asadkhudja Muydinkhujaev is one of the stars of the entire Eindhoven Box Cup and he started his campaign well on Day1. The 24-year-old Uzbek moved forward from the first seconds against a difficult opponent, Germany’s Omar Sloian but the experienced Uzbek managed all of the tactical issues in their meeting.

The Netherlands have some excellent young talents and among them, Finn Bos is a great prospect for the upcoming main championships. The referee counted his opponent, Switzerland’s Timm Kellenberger and he delivered a superb performance at the 70kg weight class.
