The 7th Emil Jechev Youth Memorial Tournament will be held in the beginning of September
The 7th edition of the Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament will be held for the youth men boxers in Sofia, Bulgaria on September 1-6.
The registrations are open for the National Federations and the deadline is August 12.
Boxers who were born in 2007 and in 2008 will be eligible to compete in the next Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament which will be a five-days long competition this time and all of the 10 weight classes are in the official program.
The tournament is dedicated to Mr. Emil Jechev the former President of the European Boxing Association and AIBA Vice-President. Mr. Academician Prof. Emil Jechev passed away in Sofia in July 2015 at the age of 88. Mr. Academician Prof. Emil Jechev devoted his whole life to serve Bulgaria’s and the world’s boxing life.
The Bulgarian Boxing Federation is professional in hosting big events as World Championships, European Championships, the Strandja Memorial, the Balkan Women’s Tournament and the Emil Jechev Memorial.
The new edition of the Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament could be a preparation event for the European Boxing’s U19 Championships which will be held in end of September and beginning of October.

September 5, 14:00 & 17:30 – Day4 competition
September 6, 15:00 – Day5 competition
