Jaron Ennis confirms that he will move up in super-welterweight division

Jaron “Boots” Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) has confirmed that he will move up from welterweight to super-welterweight division.

The WBA/IBF World welterweight title holder is expected to make debut at super-welterweight in early fall this year.

“It’s time,” Ennis stated on his verified Instagram account. “154. Y’all said this where the smoke at, right? Let’s have it, then.”

Ennis now is expected to relinquish his WBA and IBF belts.

For IBF title is expected to fight Lewis Brocker with Paddy Donovan. And Rolando “Rolly” Romero is expected to be upgraded to WBA World champion. He actually holds the “secondary” WBA World title.

Ennis has regularly fought in welterweight division since debut in 2016.
