Gilberto Ramirez defeats Dorticos, Schofield stops Farmer in one

Gilberto Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) defended his WBA and WBO World cruiserweight titles, defeating on Saturday night in Anaheim, USA the challenger from Cuba, Yuniel Dorticos (27-3, 25 KOs) by unanimous decision.

Judges scored the fight 117:110, 115:112 and 115:112. Ramirez is aiming to become the undisputed champion in cruiserweight division.

After the fight he said that Jai Opetaia, the IBF World champion, should give him a call.

In the same event Floyd Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs) stopped former world champion Tevin Farmer (33-9-1) in first round. Schofield dropped Farmer twice in the fight.
