Baraou defeats Tellez, wins WBA Interim World title

Abass Baraou (17-1, 9 KOs) is the new WBA Interim World super-welterweight champion.

Baraou on Saturday night in Orlando defeated the Cuban prodigy Yoeniz Tellez (10-1, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision.

All three judges gave the victory to Baraou (117:110, 115:112 and 116:111).

Baraou dropped once Tellez in the end of last round and got the clear victory.

It was co-main event of the show promoted by MVP.

In main event the fight between Yankie Rivera Figeroa (7-0-1) and Angelino Cordova (19-0-2) for WBA Interim World flyweight title ended in majority draw. Two judges scored the fight 113:113 and one scored 115:111 in favor of Cordova.
