Busra Isildar eliminated a World Champion Indian in Liverpool

Turkey’s Busra Isildar eliminated a World Champion on the third competition day at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.

Germany’s female hope, Maxi Kloetzer had to do her very best until the final gong to eliminate Bulgaria’s European medallist Venelina Poptoleva in Liverpool.

Spain’s World Championships bronze medallist Laura Fuertes is another key boxer at the women’s 51kg weight category and she started her campaign successfully against Ireland’s Daina Moorehouse in a hectic preliminary bout.

Mongolia’s Balsan Mungunsaran eliminated Yaroslava Marynchuk clearly after Canada’s McKenzie Wright, Brazil’s Caroline De Almeida and China’s Qi Xinyu have secured their places in the last 16.

Esmeralda Jazmin Patino is a newcomer in the Mexican women’s national team but she boxed over her previous level and she won an emotional 51kg contest against Italy’s promising star, Lucia Elena Ayari.

Busra Isildar started the first competition day with a great success and she prepared well against India’s World Champion Lovlina Borgohain to beat one of the stars at the women’s 75kg.

Algeria’s Youcef Yaiche had a superb performance against Kazakhstan’s Youth World Champion Torekhan Sabyrkhan and he had the chance to deliver the top surprise of the day. The 19-year-old Kazakh stepped into the gas in time and the super talented boxer won their meeting by split decision.

Turkmenistan’s Asian Games bronze medallist Bayramdurdy Nurmuhammedov moved forward without any stoppage against Brazil’s World Cup winner Kaian Oliveira Reis and he eliminated a favourite in the men’s 70kg.

Hungary’s Kruzito Kovacs eliminated Cuba’s Luis Vinent in a real fight while Canada’s Keoma Al Ahmadieh controlled his 60kg contest over a World bronze medallist boxer from Jordan, Mohammad Abu Jajeh.
