Eight nations shared the U17 and U19 titles at the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament
France, Italy, Poland, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Czechia, Estonia and Hungary impressed in the fifth competition day of the 20th edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament in Gliwice.
Italy’s Michela Guglielmon won the first U17 title at the Silesian Open where she defeated Oliwia Goj by unanimous decision. The two-time European Champion Amelia Urban controlled her final over Matilde Bertolone in the next Poland vs. Italy final bout.
Italy’s Kesia Reale gained the control against Poland’s Aleksandra Migaczew in the first round and she was able to keep that level until the last gong. Mira Amadori won the Italian battle at the 57kg weight class against Amelia Zamana.
Slovakia’s Karolina Kollarova has an excellent year and Italy’s Rachele Perna was not able to stop her in Gliwice. Poland’s Antonina Biniecka (63kg), Kazakhstan’s Kamila Ospanova (75kg), Estonia’s Meliana Nelk (80kg) and Hungary’s Krisztina Bodnar (+80kg) also earned gold medals.
Poland’s Natalia Niewiadomska and France’s Matilde Fragnieres both are fantastic future hopes in our sport and the second won their amazing final at the 48kg. France’s next ace, the Youth World silver medallist Maloe Teresi walked over to the gold at the 54kg.
Hungary’s Patricia Petriman lost to Germany’s Josefin Rovira at the Brandenburg Cup but she not only made a revenge at the 51kg final but she celebrated her 17th birthday with a title.
Czechia’s Julie Polednikova had a hectic victory over Hungary’s Sara Varga at the 57kg while a new French hope, Maely Panizzutti destroyed Penelope Grochau’s dreams.
Such strong boxers as Maja Razik (65kg), Laura Szydlowska (70kg), and Kazakhstan’s Asian Youth Champions trio, Zarina Tolybay (75kg), Aruzhan Zeinullayeva (80kg) and Sabina Zhaksylyk (+80kg) earned the further U19 gold medals.
