Kyzaibay, Sabyrkhan, Lozano and Ummataliyev are among the finalists in Liverpool

Kazakhstan’s Nazym Kyzaibay remained her chance alive to win her fourth World title but Makhmud Sabyrkhan, Rafael Lozano and Javokhir Ummataliyev all amazed in Liverpool today.

Kazakhstan’s Nazym Kyzaibay earned already three World titles in the smallest female weight class and she remained her chance to alive to take her fourth gold medal after beating Sabina Bobokulova of Uzbekistan.

Chinese Taipei’s Huang Hsiao Wen bagged two World gold medals in the past, and she is a finalist once again following her success over Im Ae Ji of South Korea, which means that she can meet for the title of the 54kg against Yoseline Perez.

Ireland’s European Games winner Aoife O’Rourke used the best tactics against China’s World Champion Wang Lina to win their tough 75kg semi-final therefore she will now meet Turkey’s Busra Isildar for the gold medal.

Kazakhstan’s Sanzhar Tashkenbay, the World Champion from 2023, had a difficult first round against Cuba’s Alejandro Claro but from the second he increased the tempo well enough to turn back this fantastic 50kg semi-final bout.

Mongolia’s Aldarkhishig Battulga started his semi-final slightly better than Japan’s Soushi Makino and he could still increase the rhythm in the second to build up the way for the success.

Makhmud Sabyrkhan moved forward without any stoppage against China’s Liu Chuang and he smashed his opponent with heavy punches to join the final of the 55kg weight class where he will now meet Spain’s Rafael Lozano Serrano who had a dominance over his Irish rival.

Uzbekistan’s Asian Champion, the 20-year-old Javokhir Ummataliyev dominated his semi-final with knockdowns against Croatia’s Gabrijel Veocic while France’s Yojerlin Cesar used his longer reach well to beat Hungary’s Pylyp Akilov in the second semi-final of the 80kg.
