Budapest’s big event, the European U23 Boxing Championships will be the highlight of November

The official handbook of the European U23 Boxing Championships confirmed all of the details and the event will take place in Budapest, Hungary between November 21 and 30.

Budapest was the host of the European Championships in 1985, the World Boxing Championships in 1997, the Junior World Championships in 2000 and the Youth World Championships in 2018. Several other Hungarian cities hosted European Championships for various age groups in the recent two decades.

Boxers who were born in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 are eligible to participate in the European U23 Championships where 10 female and 10 male athletes will earn their gold medals.

The arrival day for the U23 competition is November 21-22, the first competition day in two rings is November 23 while the finals will take place on November 30.

The new European Boxing’s will host its U19 Championships in Ostrava from September 28 and its U15 Championships in Budva from October 16 before the Budapest U23 Championships.

There will be international preparation events in Denmark, in Sweden, in Finland, in Croatia, in Lithuania and in Kosovo before the European U23 Championships.
