Record-breaking European U15 Boxing Championships will take place in Budva next month

Record-breaking, more than 370 boxers have registered from 32 nations in the upcoming European U15 Boxing Championships, which will be held in the city of Budva in Montenegro between October 16 and 26.

Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine have already made their decision about the participation in Budva.

The number of the officials is more than 100 and 25 referees and judges will support the success of the European U15 Boxing Championships.

Mr. Alexander Klemenko, the energetic President of Montenegro Boxing, supports those National Federations which have temporary financial difficulties to participate in Budva with free accommodation, meals and local transportation.

“The Boxing Association of Montenegro has always prioritized providing athletes with equal opportunities to compete in Olympic sports, developing strong international friendships based on the principles of equality and sports solidarity, and excluding any commercialization of sports competitions and training,” said Mr. Klemenko in his recent statement.

Budva was the host of the Youth World Boxing Championships, the European Women’s Championships, European U22 Championships, European Cup and several other big events in the previous five years.

The U15 age group, or previously known as schoolgirls and schoolboys, means the 2011 and 2012 born boxers are eligible to participate in Budva.

The arrival day for the competition is October 16, the first competition day is October 18 while the finals will take place on October 25.
