Thirty countries will participate at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain
The boxing event of the 3rd Asian Youth Games will take place in Bahrain between October 21 and 31 and 14 champions to be crowned.
The Asian Youth Games moved from Uzbekistan to Bahrain earlier this year and it will be the most important multisport event in the continent.
The Exhibition World Bahrain Grand Hall will be the venue of the boxing competition of the Games and the Manama Club Hall supports the participants as the training venue.
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, DPR Korea, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen will compete in the boxing event.
Boxers who were born in 2009 and in 2010 are eligible to participate in the Asian Youth Games. The Asian Youth Games will support the preparation of the boxers for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
The women boxers can participate in seven weight categories such as 46kg, 50kg, 54kg, 60kg, 66kg, 75kg and +80kg.
The men boxers will have also seven divisions in the Asian Youth Games: 46kg, 50kg, 54kg, 60kg, 66kg, 75kg and +80kg.
