Alvarez is expected to be sidelined for two months cause of injury and full return in training will be in 12 to 15 weeks.

Alvarez expected to have surgery on October 23.

Alvarez, 35, lost his undisputed super-middleweight on September 13 loosing via unanimous decision to Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs).
