New junior stars shined in the finals of the Boxam today

New junior male stars from Spain, Georgia, France and Mexico shined in the finals of the Boxam Tournament in Benidorm today.

Georgia’s Shalva Beridze had strong height advantage against Ukraine’s Mykhailo Sydorenko in the light flyweight (48kg) final. The experienced Georgian kept his Ukrainian opponent on long and he deserved to win the title in this Boxam Tournament.

The next Georgian ace, Emil Ismailovi claimed the Junior National titles and he moved up to the flyweight (50kg) this year. He also used his longer reach against Colombia’s Izzon Galea and his technician performance delivered the second gold medal for Georgia.

Spain’s southpaw sensation, Elijah Sanchez progressed a lot since his last Boxam and the former English boxer overcame his Bulgarian opponent, Zigfrit Sashev with heavy hooks and his quick attacks also guaranteed his title in Benidorm.

Following Jose De La Cruz’s success, Georgia’s Beka Okruashvili proved his technician style once again but France’s David Harutyunyan caught him with different combinations and he won the final of the lightweight (60kg).

Pablo Souto tried to pressurize Georgia’s Tazo Gabelia at the light welterweight (63kg) final but his opponent turned back the contest with a great finish. France’s Yanis Tavares controlled the exchanges against Bulgaria’s Antonio Botsev and he won the next final.

Netherlands’ Samir Arndell had a tactical victory in the semi-finals and he had another tall opponent for the title of the middleweight (75kg), Spain’s Daniel Garcia who managed to beat the smaller Dutch in a superb final.

Efosa Igbinovia won the next gold medal for Spain after beating Ukraine’s Rostyslav Vityk at the heavyweight (80kg) while Mexico’s Ramiro Nunez won the last junior final against the Ukrainian Yosyp-Vladyslav Kozakevich.
