The first Art of NextGen Cup was a great success in Frankfurt am Main with nearly 100 bouts
The first and new international event for the U13 and U15 boxers, the Art of NextGen Cup was a great success and nearly 100 bouts concluded in Germany’s Frankfurt am Main.
Boxers from all across Germany took part in the historic event in Frankfurt am Main, joined by strong international teams from Switzerland, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Hungary, and Scotland.
The atmosphere in the sports hall was characterized by friendship and fair play – the integration of the different nations was clearly felt and widely recognized as a great success for the young athletes.
The Art of Boxing NextGen Cup was held for both genders and for the U15 and U13 age groups to give them international experience. The local organizers underlined the new event served only to develop boxing and promote the sport in the younger generations.
The German organizers were satisfied with the French team, especially their strong progress and how their coaches worked with this new generation. Such talented U15 boxers as Aleko Ajamovi and Islam Kherbach were their best hopes in the competition.
Hungary’s promising Vivien Varga is only 13-year-old but she won already international competitions this year besides to her national titles. She has currently 21 bouts and she looked too experienced for her Scottish and German rivals in Frankfurt am Main.
Laura Lipfert is not only the Traktor Schwerin’s big hope for the future, but Germany as well and she showed her great enthusiasm in both of her contests in the event.
Germany had excellent prodigies in the event such as Malik Dincer, Ovannes Vardanian, Ilyas Faakher, Nikita Wecker and the top talent, Aliyah Zeynab Heck.
Frankfurt am Main will host the next event, the 4th International Art of Boxing Cup from February 5 until the 8th in 2026.
