Belgium, Hungary, Israel and Montenegro celebrated important triumphs on Session7

Belgium, Hungary, Israel and Montenegro celebrated important triumphs at the European U15 Boxing Championships in Budva during the seventh session.

Israel’s Husam Falah knew the best strategy against Bulgaria’s Andriyan Stoykov and he accomplished his main goal in Budva, to take a medal in the European Championships. The Israeli boxer will now meet Georgia’s Saba Kerdzevadze to reach the title contest.

Ireland’s Patrick Casey and Poland’s Dominik Drewnowski produced an outstanding first round and the letter had a tight advantage. The Irish 44kg boxer switched his tempo in the beginning of the second round and he could win this fight.

Hungary’s Balazs Lengyel destroyed his Romanian opponent’s defence in the first round, and he managed to beat Cosmin Ene at the 54kg. Italy’s Rosario Simone worked well enough against Lithuania’s Karol Michalkievis to win another Round of 16 bout in this weight class.

Montenegro’s Nikola Ilic and Latvia’s Rodrigo Pravs had a real battle in the preliminary round of the 54kg and after two rounds, both have similar scores on the sheets. Ilic mobilised all of his power in the last round and he could win one of the tightest battles of the seventh session.   

Belgium’s Yahya Amghar moved a lot on feet to catch Albania’s Elijon Keci with various combinations from counter-attacking range. The Belgian had only seven bouts before this challenge but he delivered a smart boxing to beat the Albanian.

Montenegro’s Ivan Tijanic looked highly confident in the first round against Latvia’s Prohors Grisunins and he delivered the second success for the host.

Hungary’s Bohdan Pankovics had the routine to keep the control against Slovakia’s Dominik Sira throughout the three rounds and after that clear success, he will now meet Lithuania’s Zdanas Nikitinas.
