Buzas, Demirhan, Hakhverdiyev and Musebiyli won quick bouts in Budva on Session8

Romeo Buzas, Ercihan Demirhan, Sarkhan Hakhverdiyev and Nurlan Musebiyli won quick contests at the European U15 Boxing Championships in Budva on Session8.

Georgia’s Tornike Simonishvili reduced his fighting distance against Slovakia’s Kristian Mezes and he reached the opponent with heavy shots to win a guaranteed medal at the 40kg in Budva where Romania’s Cristi Andrei Casu followed him.

Azerbaijan’s Babak Abdullayev started well against Scotland’s Ethan Munro in the first round but his opponent stepped into the gas in the second. The Scottish boxer eliminated one of the most experienced pugilists of the 40kg weight class and he will now meet Ukraine’s David Horvat who bowed out his Bulgarian rival, Zdravko Kolev today.

England’s Zidane Tazeem not only had the massive height advantage against Israel’s Abbas Zeidani but he had a solid performance at the 63kg and after this preliminary bout he will now meet Hungary’s Romeo Buzas who had a quick RSC victory today.

Turkey’s Ercihan Demirhan smashed Kosovo’s Eris Qehaja quickly in their 63kg bout while Romania’s Leonard Adi was able to make a big U-turn against Poland’s Marcel Lasota despite his trouble in the first round.

Azerbaijan’s Sarkhan Hakhverdiyev knocked down Austria’s Ricardo Karabas in the first round and the referee stopped their unequal contest.

England’s Evander Dickinson enjoyed his preliminary contest against Ukraine’s Volodymyr Chaban in Budva where his brilliant technical skills guaranteed for him a comfortable unanimous decision success.

Czech Republic’s Tadeas Jasek delivered the next sensation in the session when he eliminated Ireland’s Eddie Sweeney at the 66kg. Estonia’s Vladimir Nersesjan, Azerbaijan’s Nurlan Musebiyli and Turkey’s Arda Firdan were also winners in this weight class.
