Spanish Heredia Promotions won purse bid in Rome on Wednesday for the fight for the vacant EBU welterweight title between ex-champ Samuel Molina (32-4-1) and Belgian Anes Messaoudi (17-0-1).
Tundra Promotions, also from Spain, and Belgian promoter Yassine Maatala also bid on the fight.
The numbers were not disclosed.
Molina vs Messaoudi fought a draw August 2 in Spain and a rematch was ordered but then Molina accepted an offer for a voluntary defense against Egidijus Kavaliuaskas in Lithuania and lost a split decision.
Kavaliauskas then had Messaoudi as mandatory challenger but chose to relinquish the title and now Molina entered the picture again.
Heredia Promotion has confirmed that the fight will be held in Malaga in southern Spain but when is to be announced.
