Bivol vs. Eifert on May 23?

IBF mandatory light-heavyweight title fight between Dmitrii Bivol (24-1, 12 KOs) and Michael Eifert (13-1, 5 KOs) is expected to be held on May 23 in The Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, “Boxen1.com” reports.

Teams have reached an agreement and fight will be in undercard of clash between Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) and Rico Verhoeven (1-0).

Eifert has waited his title chance since 2023. He became official challenger after defeating Jean Pascal in Canada via unanimous decision.

He fought only once since then. He fought in August 2024, stopping Carlos Eduardo Jimenez in round two.

Bivol last fought in February 2022, defeating Artur Beterbiev and becoming undisputed light-heavyweight champion.
