Eleven nations won the titles at the World Boxing U19 Future Cup

Eleven nations won titles while twenty-five countries claimed at least one medal at the World Boxing U19 Future Cup in Bangkok.

England’s Lily Bassett won all of her international contests in the recent years and she became the first gold medallist in Bangkok. The 16-year-old English landed the stronger punches than India’s Gunjan and she earned the well-deserved title of the 48kg.

The US girls impressed in the entire event and their California-based 16-year-old Guadelupe Ruiz used the right strategy to beat India’s Joyshree Devi Chirom in the final of the women’s 54kg.

Uzbekistan’s Rushanabonu Isoyeva had a tough quarter-final against Slovakia’s Karolina Kollarova and she repeated that performance against France’s Maely Panizzutti in the final. The next French boxer, Maissa Kermezian made a revenge as she defeated Uzbekistan’s Samira Turgunova at the 75kg final.

Kazakhstan’s Aidana Ubaidullakyzy stopped Uzbekistan’s Asaloy Bakhtiyorova in the final of the women’s 80kg before the next amazing female contest. Samoa’s Kealey Perez made the next historic result in the last competition day when she defeated Tuvalu’s Francis Taafaki at the +80kg final.

United States’ Christian Paez had a hard job against Japan’s Ryusei Kitamura but he celebrated an emotional success at the men’s 55kg final. Kazakhstan’s Doszhan Zhumakhan won his final bout against Thailand’s Siwa Chainarong in the same way, by 3:2 split decision.

Kazakhstan’s Khamza Maksatuly bagged the title of the 75kg after beating Uzbekistan’s Sukhrob Rakhmatullayev. The next Uzbek, Asadbek Sultanboyev succeeded in his final over Zhalgas Utebekov of Kazakhstan at the 90kg.

Japan’s Kunimitsu Honjo delivered one of the sensational results in Bangkok where he reached the top of the podium at the 65kg after beating Ukraine’s Rostyslav Horodynskyi.

Kazakhstan’s Bibarys Ashirbay had a tight victory over Kyrgyzstan’s powerful Akhmadi Arvaz at the 70kg which was one of the best finals in the event.
