The boxing city of Budva is ready for the upcoming and exciting finals of the Montenegro Elite Cup
All of the final line-ups are confirmed at the Montenegro Elite Cup in Budva and the boxing city is ready for its title contests.
Montenegro is very busy hosting international events and their top competition, the Montenegro Elite Cup turned into its final phase in Budva.
Germany’s experienced Salah Ibrahim moved up to the 55kg weight class and he is targeting the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. The German boxer used his longer reach to beat Serbia’s Ljubisa Staletovic and he joined the finals of the Montenegro Elite Cup.
Ukraine’s Maksym Rudyk had also a German opponent, the ex-Iranian Omid Ahmadisafa, and he tried to find the best angles to land his punches. The Ukrainian was able to keep the same rhythm until the last gong of their meeting and he marched to the title contest.
Montenegro’s Tomislav Djinovic claimed a bronze medal in the last edition of the European Elite Boxing Championships and he managed his pathway to the final of the 60kg after beating Ukraine’s Oleksandr Vasko.
Mexico sent a delegation to Montenegro’s boxing city and their Christofer Fabian Lucas advanced to the finals of the 65kg, following his success over Greece’s Panagiotis Kostouros. The next Greek boxer in this weight class, Stelios Kirsanidis also suffered a loss in the semi-finals, Ukraine’s Rasul Guliyev was stronger than him.
Serbia’s Filip Dzida has excellent technical and defensive skills and he was a hard target for Ukraine’s Tymur Tseban in their 70kg semi-final. The young Serbian will now meet for the title of the category Germany’s Chukwuka David Okah-Ezeokeke.
Moldova’s Davron Bozorov had the routine to win his contests until the semi-finals of the 75kg but he was defeated by Ukraine’s Nikita Zakharchenko in the last four.
Ukraine’s Viachesav Bryhadenko also defeated a Moldovan boxer, Valeriu Razmerita at the 80kg which contest was one of the top ones in the session. Bryhadenko’s final opponent will be another Ukrainian, Artur Kasianov who eliminated Belgium’s Luis Blas.
