Great semi-final day for Bulgaria and Germany in Budapest

All of the semi-finals are concluded on the fifth competition day at the European U23 Boxing Championships in Budapest.

Poland’s Olympic silver medallist Julia Szeremeta delivered her best performance in the semi-finals of the women’s 57kg and she defeated her neighbour, Slovakia’s Bibiana Lovasova with brilliant style of boxing. Her final opponent will be a Polish-born Irish girl, Natalia Fasciszewska in Budapest tomorrow.

Germany’s Emely Dittrich counter-attacked her Turkish opponent, Dilara Sak well enough and with the perfect first and third rounds, she managed to join the final of the 70kg where her final rival will be Poland’s Barbara Marcinkowska.

Bulgaria’s star, the seven-times European gold medallist Radoslav Rosenov amazed in the entire competition in Budapest and the defending champion dominated his semi-final over Azerbaijan’s Taghi Nasibov at the 60kg.

Daniel-Raj Stoican trains in England but he decided to represent his homeland, Romania in the European U23 Championships and following his success over France’s Djamel Djemmal, he can prepare to the 70kg final against Luka Nikabadze of Georgia.

Bulgaria’s 19-year-old Viktorio Iliev developed so rapidly this year and he is also member of the elite national team. The Bulgarian eliminated Slovakia’s injured Juraj Bona in the semi-finals and his final opponent will be Ukraine’s Artur Kuzmenko.

Bulgaria’s next finalist will be William Cholov, another multiple European Champion, who eliminated Albania’s strong Amar Koci and he can prepare to the final against England’s Bobby Colin Wallace.

Germany’s Kevin Lebowski worked better and stronger in his road to the finals at the 90kg where he bowed out Italy’s Dean Nwokedi Chime by split decision therefore he will be able to meet Turkey’s Yasar Emrah for the title.
