Orazaly, Sousa, Stepanov and Andrijasevic delighted the Day1 at the Dracula Open

One of the top non-elite competitions in the world, the 5th edition of the Dracula Open Tournament started with its busy first competition day in Ploiesti, Romania.

The local organizers of the Dracula Open Tournament confirmed the participation of 470 registered boxers from 18 nations.

The Mayor of the city of Ploiesti Mr. Mihai Politeanu, and the President of the Romanian Boxing Federation, Mr. Prof. Vasile Citea opened the annual Dracula Open Tournament.

Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are the 18 registered nations to the Dracula Open Tournament.

Among the U17 boxers, Kazakhstan’s Nurassyl Orazaly met Uzbekistan’s Khadyatullokh Saydullayev in a top contest and the first was able to win two out of the three rounds on the judges’ scorecards.

Ukraine’s Nikita Stepanov was more experienced than Hungary’s new U19 national boxer, Laszlo Papai but he had to keep his top level of boxing still in the third round to eliminate his opponent at the 50kg.

Latvia’s Denys Bulchenko and Brazil’s Gustavo Silva both eliminate local opponents in the first preliminary round of the 55kg on Day1.

Austria’s new U19 national team member, the Ukrainian-descent Ivan Bezuhlyi had an excellent debut against Bulgaria’s Vladimir Davidov at the 65kg but Ukraine’s Ivan Konevych and Romania’s Raul Antonio Benea also opened their campaign with victories.

Austria’s next ace, Ihor Neofidi delighted the fans in his opener and he controlled all of the three rounds against Romania’s Darius Andrei Serbu at the 80kg.

Brazil arrived to the Dracula Open with an excellent U19 squad, and their talent at the 80kg, Claudio Sousa not only controlled his contest against Ukraine’s Nazar Kozivkov but he finished the job in the second round with heavy punches.

Serbia’s George Andrijasevic, Romania’s Oleg Chiricuta and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Ovodov were the bests in the preliminary stage of the 70kg.
