Pena stops Guerfi, defends WBO Inter-Continental title

Angelo Pena (12-0, 7 KOs) promised to show against Karim Guerfi (33-8, 10 KOs) what he learned in the training camp in Las Vegas. And what he showed was impressive.

Pena stopped the five-time European champion Guerfi and defended his WBO Inter-Continental super-featherweight title on Friday night in Bern, Switzerland.

Pena dropped Guerfi in round three once. Frenchman decided to retire after four rounds, cause of a problem with his vision.

Pena said after the fight that he is ready to fight with everybody and hopes soon to reach the world title chance.

In co-main event Felix Meier (4-0, 3 KOs) had a tough battle against Yaya Kone (3-2). 20-year-old managed to handle the pressure and won by unanimous decision over 6-rounds (58:54, 59:55, 59:55).

Bryan Fanga (13-2-1) defeated via unanimous decision Samir Cuentas (4-5).

Sami Ahmeti (8-0, 5 KOs) won via KO in round three Filip Bosela of Slovakia (4-4). Bosela was dropped three times during the fight.
