Antonio Calzado Gutierrez is a new name in the youth age group but the Spaniard finished his contest quickly against England’s Bournemouth-based Bradley Walker with a classic KO in their meeting.
France’s Sami Jeddi is only 17 but he used similar style of boxing as their World Champion and two-time Olympic silver medallist Sofiane Oumiha. His brilliant technical skills paid off against Ireland’s Oisin Kiernan and he managed the clear pathway to the finals of the youth bantamweight (54kg).
England’s Leroy Alfred proved the next strong performance in the event, he eliminated Spain’s Adam Kasnaoui at the youth bantamweight (54kg) before Switzerland’s Alexis Kaeser won another tight bout on Day2.
England’s Lennox McKenna used his longer reach against Switzerland’s Keagan Saint-Bernard and his jabs reached the target in the first round but his opponent switched into a higher tempo and turned back their youth lightweight (60kg) semi-final.
Spain’s Matias Ozuna Ortiz was unstoppable today for his teammate, Raul Dovao and he joined the finals of the youth welterweight (67kg) after the quick bout. His teammate, Antonio Isaac Canestro from the Seda Alvarez Boxing School also won his semi-final over an English boxer today.
